Before I went into the military, I caught a Rough Green Snake and my mom told me that was all I could have. Then came alots of ball Pythons and several years later and lots of training I dabbled into Venomous stuff. Now out of the military and with my own place, the word "limit" isn't in my dictionary. And when my folks come over my mom likes looking at my Ball Pythons, especially my Ivory. They eventaully come around.
Persistance is the key!

I love that kids think they actually get something past their parents. Believe me, if she didn't want it you wouldn't have it.

Im glad to see others in this talent haha. And JohnNJ I agree with you. They didnt like em at first now they always want me to get them to let her hold one. She talks to them, excited for feeding, and plays favorites. This is an addicting hobby. Gotta love it.

Why not find a friend and rent an apartment so you can keep your snakes? Thats what I did this year, trust me its not fun being away from them and its way to expensive to go home every weekend to feed them. Plus most apartments are cheaper than living on campus. Some things to think about.

It was waaayyy cheeper to get an apartment for me too.
At first my husband was not thrilled but let me get one snake. I now have three. I was just at an expo picking up rats and now he wants to get a KSB and a pair of Brazilian Rainbow boas. Its cute to see him get interested in my hobby but still pretends that he's not really into snakes.
