QT T's?

This might be a stupid question but I figure it's important to ask; do you quarantine tarantulas? I'm planning on getting a couple more soon (Yeah yeah, I might be obsessed now) and just want to make sure I protect my little guy and the newbies.

As for QTing, personally I don't really do any specific quarantine procedure. I do, however, make sure that I watch the tarantula very closely in the first few weeks that I have it, and look for things like mites and such. Aside from that, nothing special - I get them, rehouse if I need to, and set them up in the "Tarantula Corner" with all my other T's.

Aside from mites, there isn't really much that can get passed on, and even in the event of mites, usually they're easy to catch before they infest a whole collection.

I used to do a QT period but I haven't lately because I have not added any questionable T's to my collection. I look them over when I get them and keep a good eye on them for any problems. If I see any they would be removed from being around the collection. That has not happened to me yet though thankfully.

We usually only do a QT for around 72 hours. But we keep a close eye on them for a little while longer.

Since Ts aren't housed together, it wouldn't seem like a long QT period would be necessary.

As far as I know, we don't know of any yet. The only airborne thing could be mold spores that would transfer from cage to cage, but that's all I can think of.
