    Question Wordpress Website Theme

Has anyone used a theme as a starting point for their Wordpress website? I'm trying to find one that lends itself to this hobby.

If not a theme, what did you use to put it all together?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You can do that but you can also build your own very easily using this http://www.artisteer.com/ it will allow you to use some already made template but will also allow you to customize them (font, color, layout etc)

I used a theme. I spent a couple of hours searching for a theme that I liked and then 2-3 days trying to make it work for me. I ended up making some rather large modifications to the template so it would do what I wanted and look like I wanted it to.

I think I would try Deborah's link before going the route I did. It was extremely frustrating to do it the way that I did.

I did see that software and wondered how good it was. I presume you like it so I'll give the free trial a shot.

Can you modify an existing theme with it or does it only work with stuff you created with their software?

    Re: Wordpress Website Theme

Look into the Genesis Framework or Thesis Theme (what I use).

I found a basic little html website theme that I liked and then added Wordpress to the front page so I could have current news.
