To good to be true?
Help! I just saw an add on Craigslist for a breeding size female normal and a breeding size male spider for $200 for the pair. When I called the lady she said that she and her boyfriend were doing the hobby together but have since split up and now she just wants them gone. She said that they were just locking yesterday... The male is 800 grams and the female is 1800. Here are a couple pics. Should I like swoop this up right now? lol

0.5 Normal - Crawly, Bonnie, Sally, Oracle, and Silver
1.1 Spider - Parker and Clyde
1.0 100% Het Albino - Lucky
0.1 Cinnamon - Riddle
1.0 Lesser Cinnamon - Sinatra
1.1 Pastel Possible Het OG - Mellow and Squirt
0.1 Albino - Sunny
0.2 Mojave - Cassiopeia and Cleopatra
1.0 Pastel Yellowbelly - Jigsaw
1.0 Calico - Zeus

People on craigslist usually want to get rid of their pets fast so I can believe the price. I would definately make sure you quarantine them like crazy though if you pick them up and also double check that they are sexed correctly.

Even if not sexed correctly at that size the spider alone would be worth 200, no? She did say they are together right now though and that she saw them lock, so the female could be having babies. I am so not set up for babies yet lol. That would be a scramble to get everything ready.

Re: To good to be true?
being as she has pictures, and that spiders are a super obvious morph, as long as the genders are correct, i'd say its a good deal, just make sure you meet her in person

Oh I would be picking them up in person. Its about an hour drive from me, but that may very well be worth it.

Re: To good to be true?
So I called her back to get a little more info. The female was born 2004. The male is only a little over a year old. She said they are still locking and she's going to send me pictures of them locking. She also said she will include two heat racks with the snakes since I told her I don't have the tubs set up. I am too giddy for words lol.

The spider should be worth at least $200. They may both be male though, I've heard of some males actually locking with each other. If you are afraid you will get eggs then should pass or start preparing. I don't think you will get eggs right away though so you should have time to prepare. It's not an instantaneous process like we all wished it was.

AND.... here they are in the heat of the moment lol.

So long as it isn't immediate, I should be able to set up everything I need before she possibly produces eggs, right? Not that a lock is a guarantee either. >,<

Sounds like a good deal to me.
You shouldn't have too much to set up, really. You can build an incubator in less than an hour for less than $150. There are plenty of plans if you search google. Most common are mini fridge, wine cooler or Coleman style coolers. Then you have two months or so to build yourself a hatchling rack. Melamine racks are very simple to build and you can get shoebox sized tubs at Wal-Mart any day of the week for $1 each.
