I find tubs much easier than tanks, for numerous reasons. First of, you dont have to make it in any way aesthetically pleasing, because its all blocked off anyway. Thus you don't need to focus on any intricate details and furnishings. You can do with much less furniture too both because aesthetics does not need to be so great, and more importantly, your ball python is mostly already pretty comfortable not being able to see more than 3ft away. Less things needed to cover it up and give him security.
Cleaning, thus, is so much easier. Not to mention that a tub can be taken out, tipped over and emptied, refilled easily. Maintaining husbandry conditions are pretty much the same for me, not very much difference, but, as mentioned, only with a non mesh top or covered top. And unless of course you are trying to compare an all glass tank and a full rack with heating at the back (much more insulation).
