Re: New pics of my bp! Possible pastel?

My setup has a UV light, that may have caused the super yellow compared to my iphones regular flash on the darker pics... I'll try to shoot some more tomorrow if i get the chance, in regular daylight. Thanks for all the replies guys!

Another thing I noticed is in picture #4 how the blushing on the head wraps around down behind the snakes jaws.

It's a pastel. They are just bad pics in bad light. Not all pastels have blushing or wide markings. Refer to my picture. My example inherited her mothers pattern exactly up until the last 1/4 of her body.

It's just a light I used to have for a pair of chameleons I owned and I decided to put it to use when I got the snake. Only turn it on once in a while though because it lowers humidity alot. Not really used as a heat source either since I have a UTH for the bark hide. Also read somewere it helps provide vitamins or something lol

And yea I'll dedfinitely post some more pics tomorrow so you guys can give me a more definite answer thanks again!

Re: New pics of my bp! Possible pastel?

I'll go against the grain and say I don't believe it's a pastel. Green eyes are a trait in pastels, but I've had normals with green eyes as well.

Also, in picture six, you can see that the belly is not a classic pastel belly. As for the fading spreading behind the head, I've got normals that do that as well.

Pictures in natural lighting and better belly pictures are needed before I'd be convinced that it's a pastel.

    Still a very pretty snake!

I see a very pretty normal, but I don't see a pastel. It will be interesting to see more pics in better light.

Re: New pics of my bp! Possible pastel?

Not a pastel. The colors are just off in the pics. Pic 8 seems to have the most accurate colors and it really looks normal.

Also, blushing wrapping down the head doesnt mean pastel either. I have a normal with blushing like that.

I have to agree that that's a normal as well, my first thought when I saw it.
