That Lotus Evora is pretty sweet looking - (I didn't know anybody was using those in competition, I guess I'm out of the loop), and as a long-time Porsche fanboy, I always love pics of 911 GT3s. What is that crazy looking Audi prototype, btw? Something newer than the R10? Still running a diesel V12?

The Evora is the sexiest car in the field IMO. That team for Lotus is new. About 10 months old. Talked to a few of the crew members and they said they were about 100hp down on the rest of the field. Hopefully by next season they should be up to par.
You would've loved the GT3 cup race that happened on the Friday before. A full field of 30 of them.
As for the Audi, that's the R18 TDI. It's a Diesel V6 that makes 540hp. That car is so incredible looking in person I can't describe. It's low, and fast, and quiet. Literally at full throttle on the back straight, all you can hear is the wind being moved by the body of the car. It's truly a sight to behold.
Peugeot ended up winning the race, but Audi took the 24 hours at Le Mans earlier this year, which made me happy. (Obvious Audi fan here)
