    A sudden surge in energy...

Hey y'all! I had a quick question I wanted to throw your way. I attempted a second feed for Crawly on Friday and had no luck. The first week I fed her was a mouse fuzzy, which she took no problem. This past Friday I tried a rat fuzzy and go nowhere with it. I was just walking by her tank and noticed she is out, could it be possible she might be hungry? It has only been three days since I last tried to feed, but should I take advantage of her being out and about and try a feeding today? Last week when I was successful she had been out exploring as well.

If I do try again are there any tips I should try? I still have mouse and rat fuzzies. Should I maybe dethaw them together to mix up the scent and offer her the rat fuzzy? Any help would be appreciated!

I would try scenting the rat with the mouse and also blow dry the mouse in the room to get him to smell it and try to feed him a nice juicy rat
Good luck I am having a I dont want rats issue right now as well Ill let you know what works for me

I find that when mine are due to eat they are usually out and about more. I would try to feed. You might want to try live food until you get him switched over. Sometimes that helps trigger feed response.

I bet Crawly was expecting more mice, and the rat was suspicious. Stick to mice for a few more feedings.

Crawly is a hatchling? I'm waiting 5 days between feeding attempts for my hatchlings, including refusals.

Well I got her from Petsmart... who couldn't even tell me if she had eaten for them or not, they had only had her a week. I am guessing she is still quite young. I got her to eat once 6 days after I got her, which was 1 week from the first time they tried to feed her. They told me they were offering her mice fuzzies, so I went with that. After reading some more info I discovered rats in general are better for them and since they all end up on rats anyway its best to try and get them transfered over.

She ate for me on 09-30, 10-7 we had a refusal where she wanted nothing to do with the rat fuzzy I tried to give her. Today, three days later, she seems to be wandering around a lot. Usually she is in her hide, happy as a clam. The temps are perfect, 91 warm, 82 cool. She has been up and down her stick, hanging out around the top of her cage, and wandering about the floor. When she fed on 09-30 she was acting the same way all day. She was very active. So I thought maybe it might be worth trying a feed to see if she would take it?

You're her mommy, if you think she's acting hungry then try to feed her. She's a baby so the extra food isn't going to hurt her
