When I bought my first one I sprayed her cage and bedding, while that was drying and airing out I used the mite off on her entire body and some q-tips soaked in mite off to dab her face and heat pits. The critters in her heat pits died and were washed away with water. She was happy immediately and the mites were gone before the second treatment.
Actually, PAM doesn't kill the eggs (I don't think there are any products that do), so it is important that you use PAM every 30 days for several months in order to kill the babies the instant they hatch as well as dormant mites. And yes, Mite Off, Reptile Relief, etc are all good for killing mites on a snake (since you can't use PAM directly on an animal), but it's useless on its own and is not necessary, though it's nice for the snake.
