    Cool New Adult Enclosure

My friend bought this enclosure from a guy offa CL who knew someone that made similar models of Cages of Design enclosures so he got this one custom made for his Burms. It has to be improved a little more but we're already finished with cleaning out the insides! Gonna paint or stain it all black for the finishing touches. The length of it is a little longer than 7 feet but less than 7 1/2 and around 3 feet wide (not sure of the heights).

I'm so relieved that we finally got the adult enclosure checked off our list, now we just need the snake.

Be sure the lamps come out, Burms are pushers like retics at times. Be matter of mins before thye start pushing on them, whether in use or not.

The lamps are pretty much nailed tightly into the wood so the lamps are stable. I was thinking of probably putting a screen box around the lamp so the light or lamp doesn't burn the snake if he were to push up on it.

with burms and retics a screen wont stop them. Their very strong and determined. best take it out 100% and get radiant heat panel and be set

Sturdy cage around the light and you're good. Never had a problem in over 20 yrs.

And get a male... that's too small for a big female (or a male over 12 feet).

I gotta agree with Rich, screen wont last very long. A radiant heat panel is your best option.

The biggest problem I see with the lamps and the screen cage isn't whether they will last its whether the Burm will damage it's nose on em. Burms will push like mad and get some pretty nasty nose rubs on screen and wire.
