Page is also overrated. My stance on Hendrix stands. He was influential, nothing more. He was a very sloppy player. Playing noise behind your back or with your teeth is just showboating and not really all that hard. Guess being a clean player only amounts for so much when you're tripping on acid at Woodstock. It was more about the experience. Now about him being good in his day, put him up against any decent bluegrass finger picker of that era. I can't stand bluegrass, but some of them boys can absolutely shred! So meh!![]()
Another guy that puts these guys to shame is Andy McKee. Now there is some talent! Every time I watch him play I contemplate throwing my guitar away.
