Can I jump in here with the same question?
My Zoo Med ReptiTemp 500R Remote Sensor Thermostat just came.
Does the probe part go inside or outside the tank?
I'm horrified by the thought of cutting a hole in the brand new screen lid that goes over the Lexan cover!

Re: Where to glue probe?
iv read somewhere in a previous post that if you put your probe inside the tank (on the bottom) that the temps could be manipulated possibly by spilt water or something giving false readings to your stat causing it to skyrocket the temps at the heat sorce and this could burn the snake.. i have one BP that im constantaly changing because of spilt water.. just a thought.
