    Boaphile plastics or other PVC.

I have read up on a lot of peoples opinions on boaphile plastic cages. They seem to be really good and worth the money spent from what I hear. I am definately going to be getting a large PVC cage for my ball, but my question is what are your favorite PVC cages? I like the boaphiles because they come pre-assembled. Also is it ok to use heat pads underneath PVC cages? I plan to get into flexwatt and thermostat when i get more money but for the time being I have so new heat pads. Thanks for the input or even pointing out my possible ignorance on the situation.

While building my collecting back up, i have purchased and tried several different types of caging. So far, Boaphiles are my favorite. Lots of options and a decent price for the product. Be prepared to wait for a while. They are made per order and you can expect about 4 to 8 weeks before receiving it.

I will probably get into freedom breeder racks eventually, but for now the boaphiles are my go to for caging.

Re: Boaphile plastics or other PVC.

if you plan on getting a boaphile be careful and dont run into it with the vaccum they break fairly easy i would recommend building your own. and always run a thermostat with anykind of heat source even with those heat pads they can still burn the snake i can send you a link where a friend of mine is doing major rehab for a burn patient where the owner didnt use a thermostat with a heat pad so if you cant afford all of it then dont get the snake until you can.

Re: Boaphile plastics or other PVC.

@Lucas339 Do you build your own plastic enclosures? I have been searching for a company willing to sell sheets of pvc or polyethelene without it being a million dollar order and keep getting ignored. Does anyone know where I can buy sheets of pvc/polyethelene that are thick enough to build an enclosure. I have only had luck with getting really thin stuff for signs. Any help would be appreciated, but I am kinda stuck with melamine right now. I have heard good things about boaphile plastics, but I can't justify spending $1600 on cages to my wife when I can build some waayyyy cheaper.

yes i build my own racks and cages out of XPVC. check your area for places that do signs and graphics or plastic suppliers. if the sign and graphics place doesn't sell it, they might know where to get it in your town. i get my stuff from a plastic supplier that supplies sign makers. he has ABS, PVC, and HDEP. i use 1/2" PVC but others have had luck with 3/8". online ordering is also an option but its cheaper to just buy the cages from boaphile than to have this stuff shipped to you. it nearly triples the price!

I love my Animal Plastics cages, they are made from 1/2 inch thick PVC. The Boaphile cages are too thin and break easily

What about Repti-racks? The sizes are nice and the prices are very good. The hardware doesn't seem to be up to Boaphile standards, but I can't get Jeff to answer emails on product I've already ordered!
