    temps/heating pads HELP

    so i went and got an acu rite thermometer and humidity reader and now that its set up my temps are off its 83 on the hot and 72 on the cold and i know thats not good so im gona go get some heating pads but i have some questions
    1) how do u set em up without burning the snake
    2) were should i put the sticky side of it on the stand that my tank is on or stick it to the bottem of the tank (of course outside the tank)
    3) should i put em right under its hides

    One heat pad under his warm hide would be enuff but you need to get a Thermostat to regulate the heat from the pad they can get to over 110f easily and that will burn your snake. I use a Vivarium 300 fron Reptile basics

    You might also want to cover 3 sides of you tank with foil tape on the outside of the tank to help reflect heat in. NEVER put tape in your tank I have heard horror stories about this. Let me know if this help

    One more thing Heatpads usually dont raise the ambient temp of the tank much if at all you may also need to get a heat bulb or Ceramic heat emmiter

    well i do have a red heat bulb but i just got bak from the pet store and i got a heat pad and a temperature controler ill keep everyone posted on how the temps equal out later 2nite
