I really just love the fact that the variety of women shown here who own snakes totally blows the 'only weird people have snakes' misconception out of the water.

I love it when people look at me and say... "You have tattoos? And piercings?! AND SNAKES?!?!"

Way to go ladies!

I know, huh? I'm a librarian, of all things... so I've endured plenty of jokes about that, especially when I'm wearing the glasses and my hair in a bun. But then I defy all stereotypes with my (over a dozen) tats, piercings & snakes! Some of us are just walking contradictions, I suppose.

Funny (kinda related) story - my boss asked if I could work extra hours this week, and I guess my face reacted negatively. She looked at me, and said "I know you just had babies, but we have to get this report done!" Anyone who doesn't know me would have found that to be a VERY weird comment, hehe.

I'm loving that hair color too!! I've tried to go deep red/burgundy in the past, but it just doesn't work on a natural redhead... makes me look fake & vampire-like. I do enrich my color a bit these days, but only because I'm starting to go "gray" (redheads kinda go blonde-gray after 30ish).

Actually I don't feel very lucky, I don't like living in Denmark. And every time I visit the States, I have tears in my eyes, when I'm heading back to Europe.

Last couple of times I've been visiting the States, I've been in Florida, and I wouldn't mind getting old there. Or Cali, I have many ancestors there..

But let's hook up, then we can live 6 months of the year in the US, and 6 months in Denmark

Lol, haven't been on here in a while since my life revolves around work now, but this was pleasant to return to!
I actually just moved from California. Lived there nearly my entire life but just moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ok so I have been following this and believe it or not having trouble finding a guy approving of my "strange" love for snakes.

I was already married to mine so he had no choice.

[he's snake phobic but denies it...*Sicilians*...:::rolls eyes:::]

Imagine his shock when I came home one night with a python.

He saw the store pet container and figured it was yet another pet rat or something similar and was kind of already freaked out over that.
[I already have 5 dogs, 3 rats, 2 goats and 1 rabbit and one more animal! could easily drive him over the edge]...LOL

If I had a dollar for every "You bought a WHAT?" I'd be rich enough to buy even more critters.....
