    THANK YOU!!!

Someone told me to do it only once a week, and I was like....HUH?

But just so everyone knows, the betadine trick is the ticket!! My boy is looking great now! I'm sure if it's a bad case a trip to the vet is imperative, but this totally is working great for the small bit my boy had. I'd show you pictures of before and after, but it's technically a boa so I can't show you guys on the BP section hahaha! I posted here because the boa section doesn't get anywhere near enough viewers.

How do you apply it, is what I have always woundered. I mean the snake isn't just going to gurgle listerine or betadine do you apply it with a q-tip or something?

Qtip or a syringe hold the snakes mouth angled down do they don't breathe it in. You do have to be careful bc their glottis is right there. Suck up whatever solution you're using and squirt sideways into the animals mouth and let it drip out.

1x weekly wouldn't be enough to disinfect the mouth enough on a consistent basis to cure and prevent it from getting worse. From my experience with mr cases anyways. Glad this helped.

Some good advice here, but if you don't see improvement I would definately be taking him to a vet, sooner rather than later because some things can get devastating very fast. You said money was tight as it is with almost everyone now but if you want him to bounce back to a nice healthy guy (I'm sure antibiotics would do wonders) I would give something up to get some cash and take the guy in. I hope he improves for you!
