I bought a broken wine cooler for $10 on craigslist. It has a nice glass front door for easy visibility. I haven't put it together yet but I'm planning on buying one of the Vivarium Electronics thermostats from reptilebasics.com when I do. They always provide quality equipment and great customer service.

I was expecting some DIY Halloween themed incubator. I'm Mildly disappointed LOL

I am about to order this (http://www.nsreptiles.com/incubator.html). Shipping is going to kill me [Ontario, Canada] but if your in the US, shipping is free and it's had nothing but great reviews. Customer Service is great - and the product looks really cool. Casey was really helpful with me, and was a pleasure to talk to.

    Cheers.

ive had mine in use for over 10 years with no issues.

I only produced one clutch this year, and had thrown out my mini-fridge incubator during a recent move (it was messed up)... so one of my friends gave me an old Little Giant, which is basically the same as a Hovabator. All 5 eggs, including the boobie egg, hatched out 100% healthy and perfect! It held the temps within ~1-2 degrees and humidity was steady, but I did occasionally have to adjust (very slightly) the temp control. For one or two clutches, and if you don't mind keeping an eye on temps, I think they work just fine for $50 - or free, in my case.

That's what I want for next year! Last year I got a free mini-fridge off craigslist, and made it into a very rough homemade incubator... only problems were the solid door (I opened it WAY too often for a peek), and a rather funky toxic-like smell. So I'd love to get a wine cooler, or one of those large soda coolers, and make a better incubator for next season.
