Ball Python Poop
I have a 1 year old ball python (female) and today when I went to pick up her poop, I saw whiskers and a rats head. Now I don't know whether she regurgitated it, but it looked a lot like poop. What does this mean? Has anyone ever experienced this before? Please help...

Re: Ball Python Poop
check your temps. I have never seen this but sometimes if the temps are too cool the can pass part or a whole rodent

yeah the temps are fine. I have an undertank heating pad and a basking light. But I'll keep checking the temps. Thanks.

You say your temps are perfect, what are they. What are you using to measure them.
warm side, cool side, humidity?
chances are its a regurge as ball pythons can digest in temps as low as 75F
Edit: I also see you live in NYC where all Pythons and boas are illegal to Own.

Weird...
Couple things come to mind right off. Was this an abnormally large meal??
And
Perhaps a fecal exam should be done. I've never had an issue with parasites with any of my balls. But.... I've gotten wc geckos/ lizards in and I do know that things not being digested fully can be a sign of parasites. An vet can do a fecal and they are relativly cheap. If your temps are spot in I would check that out just in case. Worst situation is you spent 20$ to know that the animal doesn't have internal hitchhikers. Even if you have to do a deworming it's an easy process and inexpensive.
If the above is ruled out I'd say that it's an odd fluke. But I'd check things like temps, fecal and meal size first.
