cage size?
Would this be too big for a baby/juvenile?
the size is 30X12X8

It could be, depending on the "personality" of the snake. I have one baby that I had to move to a 6 qt tub because she refused food for 6 weeks after getting her in the 34 qt tub rack. The other babies I've gotten did fine in the 34 qt tub rack....I think if you clutter it up it might be fine, just provide two tight fitting hides and some fake plants

I have to agree with LGray. It could be stressful for a young bp.

Ok thanks! I was thinking that cluttering it up would be fine as well.

Re: cage size?
It does depend on the animal...I would try it out for a bit, and see how it goes. If you want to be on the safe side, 10gallon tanks are quite cheap nowadays. That would be a nice option if you don't want to use a small tub. I have a snake that I had in an 8qt when she was first born. I then moved to her to a 28qt tub while she was still only a couple months, and she's never once stopped eating. Just make sure there are obvious hiding places that the snake can easily find, and return to after exploring the tank. Get a couple of caves just so it has options in case it gets lost lol. Good luck!

You'd have to change enclosures as they grow anyways. I don't see any harm in setting up a cheap tub setup for a while and hen switching to that when it outgrows it....

16 qt should be fine, people keep them in much smaller.
