    i use books lol, but you can use these:
    these would probably be best, since they will require less drilling, and they have a key, so you know nobodys gonna mess with your snake if you dont want them too:

    or you can use these, but they might be more dificult to install, since you may need to extend the rim that the lid sits on:


    (i couldnt find them on the website, but you can get them at any hardware store)
