Making a lid. Have a few Q's

So does anybody have any ideas to put locks on the lid? The lid will be made of plastic/lexan? Dunno yet, just need a general idea since I don't wanna just weigh the lid down with a big rock lol

i use books lol, but you can use these:
these would probably be best, since they will require less drilling, and they have a key, so you know nobodys gonna mess with your snake if you dont want them too:

or you can use these, but they might be more dificult to install, since you may need to extend the rim that the lid sits on:


(i couldnt find them on the website, but you can get them at any hardware store)
