With mice and rats it can be stressfull if done over and over back to back.

With ASFs, there seems to be no negative effect what-so-ever, and this is one of two reasons they are becoming a favored feeder rodent. The other reason, being litter size.

If you really must know...

I have seen a female give birth to a baby... The male immediately push that baby out of the way and start to do his thing... Then the female ran to the other side of tub to deliver another baby... And again the male did the same thing. 21 days later there was a whole nother round of babies from that same mom.
