Lids off is easiest. Each time a snake pees/poops, i wipe out the tubs and i spray the top of the shelf where the snake is exposed to the melamine.
Spray that then wipe it out, and put tub back in. Could you imagine a person with 50+ snakes or even 1000+ snakes having to take the tub out to get lid off and feed.
not including the few favorites that would have full blown tanks and "natural" habitats
