Introduce or wait?
I have a female het albino that weighs around 1200 grams empty. Ive noticed that shes been hugging the water bowl lately. I havent palpitated since Im not sure what Im looking for. Now I have a het male that is ready to go but Im trying to get ahold of an albino male to increase the chances. My female is still eating like a champ. The question is do I wait another year till I get a male and I can put more weight on (prob next season) or should I toss her with my male?

is she healthy, and not just overfed to reach 1200g, then go ahead if you want. it will be a smaller clutch, prolly 4-5 good eggs. you may hit the odds and get ur albino, or you can wait for an albino male to be ready and up ur chances. if i were you i would put them together and see what happens, if she is healthy and ready.

Yes she is healthy. Shes an 08 so its not fat or power feeding. Now will her clutches get bigger later on in life as she gets bigger or will they stay at the same regardless of her size if I breed her now?

As she gets bigger she will have bigger clutches. What are you feeding her currently cuz my 09 is a lot bigger. Although they do grow differently. Mine takes small rats and even mediums with no problem. This time of year she will start to pound food so 1 small rat per week will be good. I bred for three with three days off. On her second day off I'd give her a small rat.

Re: Introduce or wait?
Its up to you. I would breed her because even if you get a 2012 albino male he might not breed his first year. My males typically start breeding good around 700-800 grams. I have heard of them breeding sooner, but I have never been that lucky.
My het albino girl this year locked the first time at 1200 grams. She gave me eight good eggs for her first clutch, so you never know.
You have to do what you are comfortable with.

This is what I do.
Stick a male in with her. If they lock, she is ready. If they don't lock, try again in a week. If they still don't lock, try again the next time she goes into shed.
Good luck!
