    How do you pop a ball

    Hey I was wondering how to pop a ball python. Is it very easy?

    im not sure how to do it, but ive heard from other posts that if your not expierienced it can be easy to hurt the snake

    If you lived closer I would gladly teach ya how to pop them as well as how to probe them. Its really not hard, you just have to be gentle. Its a lot easier to be shown in person than told on the internet.

    The basic concept is putting your thumb just above the vent. Then take your other thumb and apply pressure about 3/4 of the way down tail and gently slide upward towards the vent. The idea being you want to push the hemipenes out. Just be careful you don't put too much pressure.

    There are quite a few videos on youtube showing how to do it, however I'd be very cautious as you can injure the snake if you do it incorrectly. I leave it to the professionals.
