Yep, boas don't go around your neck. It's fine when they're babies, but a 6ft adult should never be given the opportunity to wrap around your neck. They are incredibly strong and no, she's not trying to hurt you, but even just using you for security can cause harm. I had a 7ft male around my waist and he had his tail around my arm for support. When he slipped a little, he tightened up so strongly that I instantly lost all feeling from the elbow down. I was in no danger as my hubby and our friend (the snake's owner) were right there, but it was amazing how fast he cut off all circulation to my arm. A 6ft female can easily cut off the blood flow in your carotid artery causing you to possibly loose consciousness. Not meaning to scare - just want to express caution!![]()
