Cage size?
I am thinking about getting into bloods! They are bigger than I am used to so I want to start with a pair, acquiring the female initially and the male a year or so later. I want to get a boaphile enclosure or something similar and want to know what are the dimensional requirements of an adult female blood used for breeding purposes?

Re: Cage size?
4 X 2 is what I will put my Borneo in when she is ready for it. Check out Animal Plastics T-10 cage 4x 2 x 15 in tall. OR Constrictors Northwest modular cage 4 x 2 x 14 tall ....both of these cages would be a good choice.

Ditto on 4x2s. Not much height needed, I prefer less height for better heat/humidity control.

I use the ARS 8514 rack, the tubs measure 33"x26.5"x9"

Re: Cage size?
Thanks guys I guess it is settled then 4x2 I really like the looks of the Constrictors Northwest modular cage, and the price is by far the best as well. I plan to get them as babies, so they will live in a sterilite tub rack for a good while but I want to have at least space for the permanent enclosure if not the enclosure(s) themselves before I get the snake(s). I still have a ways to go before I actually jump into this species, much to read about them first. I do think it is a good step up from ball pythons though. Maybe sometime next year.

You can certainly keep 'em in tubs for a while. My 2010 is still in a tub and won't move into a 4x2 in the near future, still got plenty of growing to do!

something else to consider is what holds humidity well...... i have T 10's (with the glass front) and i ended up drilling vent holes in them because they were too efecient for me. but now,,, after a litle adjustment, there perfect!!
