Bts ?
Does any one here have BTS? I just adopted one from a friend who cant take care of it any more. I was just wondering about a diet for it. It seems to be a tad bit over weight.

BTS = Blue Tongue Skink. I don't have anything more to add because I don't have any experience, but I would love to see pics of the big guy. I was going back and forth between a BTS and a Beardie several years ago, then was offered a beardie for free...

Their diet isn't much different than a bearded dragon. They also tend to be fat lil guys so pics would help in the fat lizard dept.

I'd like to see some pics of the guy as well.

Diet depends on age. Really young should get more protein (chicken, turkey, LEAN beef, canned GOOD cat food), older should have a balance of protein and veggies with occasional fruits. DO NOT give baby food or cheap cat food!
These guys need lots of floor space, so the longer/wider the cage the better. Some, especially adults, brumate over the winter, so don't be too alarmed if yours stops eating and being active.
For more info, go to www.bluetongueskinks.net it's the best BTS site with great care sheets and knowing folks.
