    Lol yep, absolutely without doubt, not an H. gigas! Just in case the giant patch of missing hair on the abdomen was too subtle, we now know that the color, leg structure, and carapace are absolutely nothing at all similar to H. gigas

    "Panama Red Rump" or ricopelma rubronitens is now on the table. Not too many pictures to compare to unfortunately.

    Edit: I'm hoping this spider stays at petco long enough to molt, maybe show some different coloration. We'll see. Following a drug test and background check, I'm no longer subjected to corporate views of acceptable animal care, and I get a much better paying job instead.
