I won a contest and was not there to claim the prize!

This is like, the worst and best month ever. I can't even begin to describe it.

I haven't been to bp.net for a while... I'm not even coherent right now so I'm just going to write down the first thing that comes to my head about this month.

I've been soooo crazily busy these past few weeks that today is the first day that I ever found a chance to come here.

1.) My son got baptized on the 17th, so we rented this beach house (buckoo bucks!) for a week and had a week-long party!
2.) I was able to convince my dad who has been battling cancer to fly down for the baptism - big deal because he can barely walk, he has to be within a few feet from a bathroom, he has tons of meds that has to be taken with food, so he has to eat at specific times, so I've been cooking Filipino food like crazy (my family don't eat much Filipino stuff - they like the pre-prepared dinners from Super Suppers). I had to baby-proof the house because he gets into dizzy spells and could fall anytime - so I had to go put foam lining on all sharp corners of everything, put glass tables and such out of the way, etc. etc. But, I was very happy that he spent 10 days with us!

    And for the bad news:
1.) Zeke, the hognose, passed away. We were going psychotic over this! I felt very bad. He has been eating frogs off the backyard because he just refused to eat rats and we couldn't find anybody anywhere who sells feeder frogs. We got really good at looking for frogs and we freeze a few for winter. Well, we believe that Zeke got poisoned by the frog he last ate. The homeowner's association didn't notify us that they put chemicals in the lake behind the house to kill off the algae or some such. And that's where we got our last frog. I know, I know... we should have found alternatives instead of using backyard frogs. That's why I've been beating myself up for a month over this!

2.) I WON MUDDOC'S CONTEST AND JUST NOW FOUND OUT! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even remember what I guessed. It would really have made my day... or month even... or years. I mean, with Zeke passing away and all...

I am sooooooooooooooooooooo crazily upset right now....

That's what got me super duper sad...

They gave the female yellowbelly to Soterio because I wasn't there to claim the prize. You snooze, you loose.
