Yeah, try not to worry about it. As long as the prey is dead, and since you feed f/t, then there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Re: Eating backwards - Pull it out?

Ive had the same thing happen to my little girl multiple times XDD she was too lazy to rework it in her mouth all the way to the head so she just took it backwards. Its never caused a problem it just takes her a little longer to east when that happens. Next time Id just let the little guy finish. It may just be due to lack of experience eating. the more he does it the better he'll get

Ugh, my pin has eaten 3 times for me (I have only offered her 3 times tho), and I couldn't be happier that she has taken frozen hoppers every time, and even more since her first meal with me was the first time that she was offered FT... BUT SHE ALWAYS EATS THEM BACKWARDS... :@

    Lol

Re: Eating backwards - Pull it out?

I fed him again yesterday and he took it with no problems. Glad I didn't freak him out too much when I pulled the tail out on the last one. Seems like he's going to be ok with f/t instead of live. Thanks for the good info everyone & I'll be staying out of it in the future. Frontwards, backwards, or sideways, I'll let the animal figure it out.

Have you ever seen the video of the rock python eating a gazelle head first rack and all? They will be fine. If not they will spit it out and figure it out.

Wow, incredible bit of video! I don't think I'll ever worry about one of my BP's being able to swallow a rat again.
