Unfortunately FedEx is the only option to legally ship snakes. You can ship Delta, but that is a lot more $$ and more hoops to jump through. These guys aren't fragile glass, if they're packed well enough, they'll be fine, even if the box is tossed around some.

What is this based on? Who are these "many people" that are turning down purchases because of ShipYourReptiles?

We ship nearly 1000 shipments per week, we have thousands of extremely satisfied customers, and we receive outstanding feedback all the time.

We offer a terrific shipping rate (which increases with your volume), a full range of supplies, and we bust our butts at our customer service and performance.

We now offer Live Arrival Insurance as well. No one else offers that, including FedEx and UPS. We are much more than a "middle man", we are setting an extremely high standard for reptile shipping in both the hobby and industry.

It is against UPS policy to ship snakes. Some accounts may have an exception for snake shipping (we have one, but no longer do any UPS shipping), and snakes are sent every day through their system against policy. Enforcement is spotty and UPS messaging can be confusing, depending on who you talk to : )

As Robyn just mentioned it's against their TOS however old account holders can still do so (Usually we are talking BIG breeders)

I do not disagree with being certified I am and I am happy that I am as a back up plan however I have been a SYR customer since day one and never had never been an issue with any of my customers.

SYR is used to print the label, the animal is still shipped via Fedex so there is no difference between shipping through your Fedex account and SYR as far as delivery itself, now as far as customer service there are only advantages, you have the ability to ship door to door which you do not have if you are certified, you get results/answers much fast if for some reason your package get lost or is stranded, and in my case I get a better discount.

Re: question for those of you that have sold on Kingsnake or Faunaclassifieds...

I have sold on many sites, kingsnake, fauna, and even her eat BP.net. I would say I get great sales from kingsnake, lots of traffic there.... fauna I always felt I wasnt getting enough interest in my animals... I dont know how others feel, but Fauna has always seemed like the place to go for the "killer deal" I understand there are a ton of great breeders, quality animals, and very expensive animals on fauna, and I'm in no way putting that place down at all. Thats just the vibe i've always gotten from that particular site. and I am usually very stern on my pricing. I have no issue with people asking if I can go down in price, or even getting low balled.. because trust me it will happen... everywhere! lol. Fauna I just seemed to get a lot more of it.

    hope this helps some!
