    The only thing that it has that is similar are the longer hairs on the abdomen, but even they are only slightly orange.

    I will go post on arachnoboards =) I didn't specify scientific name, solely bc it came in a Petco shipment... and petco does not distinguish between subspecies or locality. It's tag from california zoological just says "red rump". I have only ever heard of 'mexican red rump' but I wouldn't be shocked if cal zoo had their own naming system. This means sometimes things slip in under a different name, and I've noticed it happen most frequently with the boas. Just want to make sure I know what the heck things are before they're sold. I'm also on the search for a new tarantula... except I'll probably get mine as a sling fromt he expo coming up =)

    I do appreciate the efforts, and I'll post back here with whatever they say on arachnoboards!
