"In transit" is a good thing, generally speaking. The 1:00 PM is an estimate depending on the number of stops the driver has to make prior to getting to yours but the "in transit" usually means it's out for delivery. The Postal Service usually says "Out for Delivery" (not for reptiles but other stuff I've bought) and UPS will generally use the "In transit" to say they're out driving to deliver whatever it is.
