3 Questions on Butter 100% het Orange ghost pricing/looks/offspring

Its been a while since ive been on here...but i have an chance to get a Female Butter 100% het orange ghost. She isnt the greatest butter ive seen from the pic I received how ever with it having the het i need.. I have some decent odds. Is $500 a pretty fair price for an animal like this? And also do they lighten up as they get older or will this one stay darker? And will offspring always be dark like her or is it like anything else and you can still get crazy nice light butters for a not so nice parent? Thanks for your help and here is the only pic i received so far.

Price isnčt too steep compared to the market where I am (not sure if it is good compared to the US market). Just be sure when you are buying a HET you are buying from a reputable breeder. As far as her offspring it would all depend on how strong her genetics are - There is only one way to find out...

The price doesn't seem too bad to me (but the prices in Canada are higher than those in the US, so my opinion may be skewed a bit...).

She will more than likely keep her dark colour into adulthood. She may go through some minor changes, but nothing drastic.

As was said above, whether she passes on her dark colours to her offspring is anybody's guess. It may be a genetically inheritable trait, or it may not be. The only way to have a definite answer is to breed her.

Well it all depends, but just recently I have seen hatchling Butter males for $450-$550 in the high-end and females for the same or more. Lesser females can go for $450 to $500 on the high-end at some of the breeders.

Thanks for the info guys. Here normal butter males that are pretty top notch go for 325-350 in my area. Females 350-400. So i feel for the 100% het 500 is probably pretty fair going price.

In your opinions is the dark color a bad thing though really? Cause i think just like anything else some people liek them with more dark and others like them with blushing...

Just trying to make sure im making a decent decision and decent deal.
