    Without Pics, It Didn't Happen...(DUW)

Well, it did happen, and there are plenty of pics to follow. Enjoy!!!!

First off, I spent the weekend at the Myrtle Beach Repticon volunteering for USARK because I believe in what they are doing and I like to help out when and where I can. I also usually have a good time because I get to hang out with some really cool people, see some amazing animals, and occasionally, when the opportunity presents itself, bring one home.

Here is some of the supplies and shwag that I brought home.
-Some new RBI hides for two of my growing boys.
-A "Snake Life" T-shirt for me, from Frankie (Fat Boys Ball Pythons).
-For my truck, I got a "Snake Life" plate for the front (because 5 years is far too long to still be driving around with the dealer plate still on it).
I also got a "I Boas" decal for the back window. They had "I Love..." decals for just about every kind of snake, including BP's, but there is absolutely no way that I would be caught driving around town with "I Balls" on the back of my truck. Coincidentally, they sold out of them.

You will also notice in the pic that there is also a large tub, two large hides, a large water bowl, and a new VE-100 thermostat. That's because I suddenly found myself in need of a new QT tub, which brings me to the good part. I had the opportunity to become the owner of an awesome snake that I have loved for a while now. I had only seen photos of them, and due to scarce availability, it really wasn't even on my "Wish List." So let me introduce you to...

Hello BP.net. My name is Kilimanjaro. I was CBB in 2007. Rob was nice enough to give me a new home, even though I tried to crush his Oakley's and wrap myself around his neck at the Myrtle Beach Repticon this past weekend, but he was smart enough, quick enough, and calm enough to stop it before it went too far.

My species comes from an island in the Indian Ocean. I am often misidentified or confused with my more popular cousins, eventhough, we are different species.

While my cousins prefer the Southern desert areas of our native homeland, my kind prefers the Northern forests. I am primarily a terrestrial snake, but I can climb rather easily when I feel inclined to do it.

We were initially listed as "Endangered" in 1977 and in 2006 a total ban was placed on international import/export of us to protect the remaining wild populations.

As mature adults, we average 2-3 feet longer than our Southern cousins. Males average around 8 feet, while females average 10-11 feet. But we are just as laid back and generally docile as they are.

The average litter size is 4-6 babies, but can be as small as 1. We are the largest babies of all Boa species, with a birth length of 19-24 inches, and a birth weight of around 230 grams.

My scientific name is Acrantophis Madagascariensis. My nicknames are Malagasy and Maddy. My most common name is the Madagascar Ground Boa.

And here I am, in all 5 feet of my hotness, handsomeness, and glory.

    Nice to meet you!!!!
