What unique quirks do your dogs have?

My Dachshund/Pomeranian mix, Loki, has some weird ones.

All the other dogs we've ever had have been scared of the Vacuum. Noooot Loki. He tries to ATTACK it.

... The front of the vacuum is covered in teeth marks now.

His favorite spot in the whole house is the arm of the stuffed rocking chair beside the big windows in the living room. He loves to flop on there, stick his head through the blinds, and watch/woof at people walking past our front yard.

He's also taught himself a trick that we only just realized today. Whenever we're about to leave, we tell him "Bye-bye!" He immediately takes off to his spot on the rocking chair to watch us leave through the window.

A final quirk: Loki is a champion chewer. Thankfully through careful use of that 'no chew' spray, we've managed to get him to only chew what we give him, and the sticks outside. We learned very quickly that we can not give him bully sticks (those sticks made for pit bulls to chew on).

He went through two jumbo ones IN A WEEK.

So, what fun/silly/unique quirks do your dogs have?

He's no longer among us, but when I had him, my Sheltie, Mio, had a ridiculous obsession with doors opening. Especially the front door.

He didn't do it all the time, but on occasion when someone would open the door, Mio would flip out. He'd run up to the door and get his muzzle in as close as he could to the door when it oppened, barking and whining. Thing is, he wouldn't go for the actual opening part of the door - it was always the hinge side he'd freak out on. So here you are opening the door and this streak of grey and white flies past you and jams hims muzzle into the crevice formed by the back of the door and the wall.

He never had trouble with people and was actually a stellar obedience-trained dog. He was just... Special sometimes

Oh man, my old girl loves to attack the vacuum. She will chase it and grab it and try to pull it across the room. I usually end up crating her while I run it because she goes crazy for it. She also does some other really cute things, like when she wants her belly rubbed, she paws her ear. Once I notice and rub her belly, if I stop, she'll smack her ear with her paw again and this motion repeats until shes had enough belly rubs. She also likes to sit in the bathtub. She waits for water in there and would drink water from the tub instead of from her bowl. Now that she's a bit older she gets stuck in there sometimes and it always gives me a good laugh having to get her out. I can usually hear little nails pitter-pattering on the tub from another room. And she gives hilarious high-fives. She jumps in the air and slams both paws into my hand. If I hold up two hands, she'll put one paw in each. Lastly, she destroys toys. I'm not certain if I would call this a quirk or not but she rips them to shreds and then rolls around in the fuzz.

    Her high fives:

And for my boy, he's just hilarious. He has the best face and is the best at expressing what he wants.

As far as quirks, he's a huge copycat. I sleep, he sleeps; I go into a room, he goes into that room.

Oh man my dogs have tons of quirks.
I have my dog Rain who is a boxer/lab who vocally grumbles about everything. She lets out these loud long sigh/whines at any given time, sometimes shes laying on the couch or just because she feels like being vocal.
She will also sleep on her back with her feet in the air.
If you say the word "bunny" or "squirrel" she freaks out and goes looking for one.

And my Icarus boston terrier/pug mix loves to attack the vacuum cleaner as well.
Hes a short nosed dog so of course he snorts alot and snores, we call it "snarfling".
Since Rain is so much larger than him and it has forced him to keep up with a large dog he is 25 pounds of pure muscle. He is very fast and sometimes when hes hyper he will run laps around the house jumping off of the couch in his U-turns. We call that his "turbo mode"

I think this thread desicively proves that dogs are awesome individuals, all of them!

Swan, Loki does hi-fives the same way! Though I always figured that it was because he's too short to do them with one paw.

Just got done watching another one he does. I gave him a pig ear strip, and he carried it over to his bed on the floor in my room. He then proceeded to 'dig', put the strip down, then start 'pushing dirt over it' with his nose, occasionally pressing down.

Finally he just flipped his blanket over it, did some more burying, and hopped up on my bed with a "You didn't see that." look on his face.

    Silly puppy.

My dog Hailey is a beagle and boxer mix. After I give her a bath she rolls around on the floor and starts digging like she would if she were outside digging in the dirt. She also has this issue with trying to roll in the dirt or other animal's poop right afer a bath.

My boy Orion is a little nut case. He's super good about his crate and won't leave until I tell him he can, but if he can get anything into his crate, say for example my mail, he will tare it to shreds. He's also ignores other dogs. A puppy could be chewing on his ear and he'll ignore it and just stare at me. He gets excited to see people but ignores dogs that want to greet him.

He's a big baby and won't chase other dogs to get his ball back but loves to play keep away with them (the only time he will interact with other dogs). He can't just walk out the apartment door he has to bolt out, this is the ONLY door he does this at all the others he'll walk through them nicely with me.

He's also just a giant puppy and loves to bounce around, I call him part kangaroo.
