    male blue dumbo hold back

this guy is being held back as a breeder for sure. i am not into rat colors or morphs so much but i call these guys my blue line rats. i usually hold them back to mix back into the colony. this guy is solid blue and dumbo as well. just to cute to feed off.
sorry for them being sideways. i tried fixing it but for whatever reason photobucket keeps flipping them this way

Soo cute I see why you couldn't feed him. I'd love to have a gorgeous blue like that!

you should see the color in person. the camera washes out most of the color and makes him look gray.

Blue rats are why I got into rat genetics in the first place, they are my favorite color of ratty.
When you make nothing but cute blues, Siamese, Rex coats and other hot lil ratty's you don't get much choice but to feed off cute rats.

for me right now i pretty much feed off in an order. i always feed off any rat that even remotely could be confused with a wild rat. then i usually feed off all the ones that are crazy acting. then its solid blacks and whites. then the tan ones(dont like them for what ever reason) then if i need more i start grabbing the cute ones that aren't dumbo's. i lost my dumbo genes once and then they popped back up, i dont wanna lose them again. i realy dont care what they look like as long as they are nice acting. i have friends that breed and all of their rats are super high strung and crazy. mine are nice handle able and if someone wants one as a pet i have no problem giving or selling them one. i dont want rats that are scared of me or scared to be handled. i like the rats. even after i decide to get out of snakes one day i will most likely have a rat or 2 as pets. better than cats any day of the week.
