Curious about feeding

So I've had my Snake for less then a week. But it is about feeding time. She is going to shed, her eyes are milky blue right now. So we tried to feed her a live mouse today and she did not eat. She wasnt even interested in it. Do they normally not eat right before they shed or during a shed? Also how long should I expect for her to shed? her eyes are just milky blue today.

It can take up to 10-14 days for them to fully shed. But most won't eat while in blue. Some will some won't. I'd wait for him to shed and then feed. It won't hurt him.

My snakes usually shed within a week of going blue. I have one very strong feeder that will eat during this time but most others wont. Like homegrownscales said, just wait till they shed and then feed.

Ok Thank you so much, i was just frustrated cuz it was her first time feeding with me and she wasnt even interested in the mouse.

If her eyes are foggy she probably won't eat. I don't even bother offering if they are in blue because they can't see as well and are just generally uninterested in food at that point.

Arrrg theres so much to learn. We tried everything, live and then well not live. i got scared cuz the mouse was more interested in her then she was in the mouse. And i dont want the mouse to get bit. Thank you.

Tried everything in less than a week? That's your problem. You should first wait for her to shed, always wait 4-7 days before attempting to feed after a refusal. Is your setup correct?

Oh yeah we have everything set up according to how its supposed to be. Thermostat is at 90 the cool side is at 77. Humidity is higher then normal so that she can shed better so its at 68%, we have three sides of the tank covered, and her hide, which she spends most of her time in. We didnt try to feed her multiple times. Yesterday was her feeding day, so we tried the live mouse and she wasnt biting it or even looking at it, then we tried the dead one, same response. And yesterday was the first day that her eyes were milky blue, so we didnt think of not trying to feed. But now we will wait till her next feed which is next week.

Sounds good, I'd definitely wait until after she sheds, and in the future wait 4-7 days before attempting another feeding after a refusal. Good luck! I'm sure she'll do fine
