    question related to BP shedding

    Hi there!

I adopted my BP a week ago from a friend who left for college. She brought bp in a 10 gallon tank that was not properly ventilated. The first thing I did was to go to a pet store and get this little guy a better tank, bedding, etc... I also bought a 75w basking light.

I'm not familiar with snakes and I was wondering about the shedding cycle. How often do they shed and also when they shed, is the process gradually spread over a few days? Currently the snake is shedding bits and pieces here and there; this has been going on for the past 3-4 days...

Currently it is 95 degrees in the basking spot and the humidity level is 65%

I'm also attaching a picture so you guys will have a brief idea of what I'm talking about.

    Thanks in advance!!

Re: question related to BP shedding

They [retty much shed when they shed it depends on How fast they grow ETC.As for everything else I would definatley get and Undertank Heater and Thermostat to regulate said heater. Both Reptilebasics and Beanfarm offer quality products online. I have yet to find a pet store that actually sells the better quality Heaters and Tstats also check out the forum on husbandry it will help a lot. And ask lots of questions here I did when I got into snakes and beleive me the guys and gals here are not afraid to offer advice.
