Do they ever get use to the misting?

Both my little babies get all huffy puffy whenever I mist their cages. Even if I don't mist them directly - even if they are in their hide, I can hear them huff at me. Sometimes, they will even stick their head out and look at me like "Dude. WTF are you doing?"

Hopefully, I will be able to move them into their new AP cages soon, so humidity will be easier to keep up without all the misting.

they will most likely do that all the time it's just a natural response my bp's do it every time I mist. The cool thing is my big girl that's in a display tank will usually come out after 5 mins and drink the fresh mist water off the sides of tank and hides

Both of my BPs get huffy puffy with me when I mist as well. It doesn't matter what temp the water is or whether or not I mist them directly or indirectly. My adult female will come out after a good misting, and like the previous poster's snake, will drink droplets off of the sides of the tank, etc. I LOVE watching her drink. Its so cool

Spraying you snake and enclosure with warm water to raise humidity.

I personally use a barber's spray bottle and set my jet to a very fine almost vapour like spray this takes away most of the startled reactions, my girl isn't aggressive and simply stays and enjoys it or tucks her head under her coils then licks the droplets off her tank when I'm done.

I put hot water in the sprayers. It comes out nice and toasty warm and they dont mind at all.
