Breeding behavior and locks
I have begun pairing my virgin male with a few proven girls this year. Just wondering what behavior i should be looking for. I have not seen any locks or anything close to it. They are usually laying apart in the tubs. Just wondering what I should look for?

Look for tail wagging, blood trails, urine/poo messes...make sure you pair them during any cold fronts...keep pairing until you get eggs...

Usually any weather front thunderstorms usually do the trick, if the male is sexually ready.

Yep yep. I've noticed that getting them started is the hard part. Waiting for a thunderstorm/snowstorm is best to get them started. After a few weeks in the boys seem to get the hang of it and breed like mad men. It is kind of early in the year to start breeding so don't get discouraged if you don't see anything for a while.

Hopefully. I guess theres no harm in trying. Ive been cycling him through my four girls with 2-3 days off in between. One day with each girl.

I would leave him with each female for 2-3 days and then 3-4 days off then on to the next female...
