Can anybody tell me my KSB's gender?

Hi guys! I just got my first Kenyan Sand Boa yesterday and am in LOVE with it! Very, very sweet snake. It's driving me crazy that I don't know what gender it is, and I hate calling it "it." I have attached a couple of pictures, sorry it's only with my cell phone. But hopefully you can see vent position and tail shape well enough to make an educated guess. Please tell me what you think!! I was told it's about 7 months old, if that helps at all. I also think it's going to shed soon.

I made a video that shows how to sex a snake using the Palpation method. It's demonstrated on a Brazilian Rainbow Boa, but should work on your Kenyan Sand Boa too.

Basically, while supporting the tail of your snake you run a finger from the vent to the tip of its tail. If your boa is a male, you should feel 1-2 small bumps which are the inverted hemipenes. If you don't feel any bumps, the snake is a female. It takes a little practice to find the right amount of pressure, but it's pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. Let me know how this works out for you.

I tried to feel. I can definitely feel a bump, but only one. Even though I only felt one you still think he's a boy?? If so, very informative video! Thank you for sharing!!

If you felt the bump, then your boa is a male. As he gets older, it may become easier to notice two distinct bumps. So, what are you planning on naming Junior

the problem with sand boas is that the yonger they are the more they look similiar. from the pics i will stick with male. my females have always had really stubby tails from vent to tip. males are always longer from vent to tail but not always super long. some are VERY noticeably male others have to ponder a little. try and take a photo of your snake from vent to tip in your hand for size comparison. better pics would definetly help.
