Over-feeding?
I fed Madison about 4-5 days ago, tops, a small rat. She now weighs about 981 grams.
Today I went to feed Cleo since he'd refused food that day, but he refused again, and Madison--though the rat thawed out in another room--was poking her head up and struck at the rat as I walked by her glass cage. So I fed her that small rat today, too.
She's growing fast--last month she weighed about 861 grams. Am I overfeeding her, or is she just a big growing girl?
I worry about feeding her. She doesn't look overweight, but I'm no expert in BP's yet--I only have 3.
2.3 normal ball pythons
.1 ultramel motley het caramel corn snake
1. butter motley het caramel+stripe corn snake
1. fiance I had to rehome my kitty, and my dog got cancer and we put her down. RIP.(Did I forget anything?? )

Some BP's will eat often and lots, as long as she's growing I say feed her everything that she will take! Once they're adults you can worry about over feeding but at 1000grams your fine. I have a 600gram guy that eats small rats every 6 days. Just keep an eye out for space in between scales that's a good indication that she is over weight. Other than that be thankful that you have a good eater!
Cheers/

Re: Over-feeding?
Your fine. I feed all my snakes every week. Even my 3500 gram plus girls. I havent yet seen in 15 years with feeding them what they will eat. The only time they dont eat on a regular schedule is during breeding cycles since they go off feed for a while but nothin wrong with poundin her with food.
