how do you quarantine your snakes?!
this is a discussion on how you specifically qt your snakes? not what you have read would be a "good idea"
things like enclosure setup, size, feeding habits, so on and so forth.
i personally like to do a 3 months qt unless i feel unsure. if i do i prolong the qt.
i use a 20 gallon or 28qt tub enclosure with pretty much just 2 homemade simple hides, a heating pad and a water bowl in my closet with the door shut. i clean the qt enclosure about twice as often as my others just to be sure.
so, lets hear it

I put my new additons in a separate room away from my established collection (best I can do since I don't have a whole separate building to house the quarantines) with their own supplies (tongs, substrate, etc). Each are in their "permanent" homes until they each need to move up to a larger tub or enclosure (this varies on the specific snake: my current quarentine baby normal is in a 28qt with lots of decor to make him feel secure while my other new additon -my large normal 2000 gram female BP- is in a wide 34 qt) and each has the same thing my established snakes have: hides, decor (if applicable), water bowl, UTH w/ temp control, and a temp/humidity guage.

Re: how do you quarantine your snakes?!
Hi,
3 months in a seperate room with completely different equipment. I only do the QT tank work/ feeding after I have finished the regular collections work.
I keep the QT tank very simple to try and help spot problems - so paper substrate, washable hides and no extra cage furniture.
I'm currently using a 24x12x18 vivarium but will be building a rack when I get the chance.
Feeding is the same as any other snake that size - with the proviso I never feed any refusals from the QT room to a snake in the regular collection.
