Talking New Pickups - lots of pics

To day was the Wisconsin reptile expo. It's a small show, but I'm very happy with I left with.

First up is my male pastel. He's not the best looking pastel, but for $50 I thought he was a great pick up. I was also told he's a ph ghost.

    With flash:

I also got a high white female spider. She has a bit of an additude.

And lastly my new leopard gecko. It's still to small to sex, but I think it's the coolest looking leo. It's a hypo snow eclipse, and I love it's color and pattern.

Not the best looking pastel? Well, I think it looks awesome. His head is way blushed out. Almost looks like a super. Congrats.

I really like the spider's belly pattern. I'm always interested in how leos look after they age. They change so much in a short period of time. You should definitely do some progression shots, like once a week. It would make for a cool post in 6 months.

I wish I would have gone to the Wisconsin Reptile Expo when I still lived there.

I agree - nice pastel! The spider is sweet too and thanks for the belly shot - don't get to see too many spider bellies, lol... I love the gecko! I went to the MI rept expo in Taylor yesterday and almost left with a gargoyle, crested, and giant! I think one day I'll have to get a couple geckos - I wouldn't have been able to choose among those 3 if I'd been seriously looking...

Re: New Pickups - lots of pics

Thanks everyone! I like all my new additions, but I'd be lying if I didn't say the gecko was a favorite. I can't stop staring at pictures of it (trying to let it settle in so I'm leaving it alone).

I said he's not the best looking pastel because he is fairly dark. I'm sure he's going to brown out some (if not a lot), but I love his blushing. There was another one that was also $50 in the same bin that looked more yellow but this one had way more blushing so I went with him. He's just a tiny little guy, only 78g. ^__^
