    Adding vanilla or something else strange smelling helps too. Most people will put vanilla on the noses and rumps of all the animals, it confuses their senses, and they typically wont' fight.

    Neutral territory is important too.
    The best way to introduce a new male, is to leave one from a litter, in the cage and just let it grow up with the colony, imo.
