Day 45 maternal incubation, eggs dimpling ?

This is my first year breeding and I manually incubated 1 clutch which is due to hatch anytime now. The second clutch I decided to maternally incubate it is on day 42 and the eggs are dimpling. The egg temp has been around 89 degrees when checked with a temp gun and the humidity is spot at about 85% or so and has remained constant. I'm doing this based on quiet tempest post on maternal incubation. I was just wondering if this means they are getting ready to hatch or if I should boost the humidity a bit. I would love to hear from people who have maternally incubated in the past.

They will begin to dimple towards the end, as long as the humidity is wnl, and your heat is fine, no worries. I'm sure Quiet Tempest will chime in soon. Post some pics

Maternally incubated clutches will generally start to dimple sooner because of lower humidity.

Congrats! Mine usually start to dimple within the last few weeks before hatching. They'll start sweating quiet a bit as they get closer to hatching as well so if you peek in on them one day and notice water droplets on them or on mom's coils it's normal.

Thanks so much for telling me that, I would have freaked out otherwise. Also my female has taken a ft small rat each week since laying. I honestly don't see much of a difference maternally incubating vs using an incubator. If I had a larger breeding group I would say incubating is probably easier though.
