    Please help

So yesterday, i finally got my boaphile after 7 weeks of waiting. And of course i love it. I got a RHP and i tired hooking it up to my herpstat today. Im not sure where to put the probe. I tried putting it on top of the hide, dangling a little. I set it to my hot spot temp. However, the temp is going up and down a lot. I think this is because since the probe is further from the heat source it takes longer to record the heat. Its going up a down way to much.

Does anyone have some advice where to put the probe for a RHP???
The temps are fluxing way to much!!!

I keep my probes on hotside in the hide right on top of the Aspen/attached to the bottom-side of the hide so it can't get moved around. I also have a thermom probe that's directly against The bottom of the tub under the Aspen.

I put it right on the very bottom-side of the hide. Mine can't lay on it there but it may not work for you. Possibly Secured to the inside of the hide on the side and set your temps at like 88.f. Either way for your setup you are going to have to fiddle around with it.
