    No matter how many holes you have, your humidity is going to fluctuate with the ambient humidity of your location. So long as you don't have any condensation building up....I'd give it a couple of weeks to see how much it changes with different weather patterns. If it holds steady above 70%, then I'd add some more holes. Ideally, you'd want your average humidity to be between 50%-60%. But I wouldn't worry too much about daily ups and downs.
