    BP shedding in patches?

Hi everyone, I'm completely new to owning any snakes, I went into this partly blind (not my fault, my neice abandoned him here!). Anyway, I'm doing my best to figure out how to care for him, I've had him for a few weeks now. He eats well both live and f/t.
I handled him today and noticed that he has a line of faded, some pealing, scales along his spine. The rest of his body looks normal and healthy, and the areas where the scales are luffing off have new scales underneath (no bald spots or bleeding skin). Any ideas? I don't know what to make of it, and the nearest herp vet is more then an hour drive away!
(he is 1 1/2 mo old, and has not had a shed)

Do you have any pictures? That would be easier to see what was happening.

If your snake is having a bad shed then humidity is too low. I would suggest raising the humidity. I have it between 50 and 60% while not shedding and 70% while shedding. For an immediate solution to help your snake, fill a container with water and let the snake soak for about 45 minutes. Make sure there isn't too much water so the snake has to swim. He should be able to rest on the bottom with no problem. Once you do that take him out and get a washcloth and stroke the snake gently with the washcloth to help the old skin come off. You may have to do that every day for a couple of days until it all comes off.

I tryed to take pictures but he's small and my camera isn't good enough to see it.
I don't think he is shedding, but that is the best way to explain the appearance. You can see his spine (it's not overly prominent), and the scales directly on his spine are the ones that are turning gray and falling off. The humidity is at 55%, that's the highest I can get it...I'm going to get a reptile enclosure instead of a tank this weekend...hoping that helps with the humidity. The temp is 80-85.

Cover the top of the tank to hold moisture in. If ur using a light its going to suck the humidity out of the air
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

If she is 1.5 months old and has not shed, you have a problem there... I think you mean that she hasn't shed again.

I use an uth, and the tank is covered. Also, I know what a bad shed looks like, and this is only the scales a long his spine. I've known people who have owned snakes, so I have a basic idea of how things work, but I've never had my own before.
Also, the snake arrived at my house at 2 weeks old, and has not ever had a shed! It was born(hatched) 7/28/11.
My neice who was staying with me had it shipped here along with a girl from the same clutch. I kicked her out (long story), and she left the boy here..told me she didn't care what I did with it!?
Is it possible that he rubbed it against his climbing logs? It doesn't appear to bother him at all, and it's not any where else on his body. I'll try to borrow a camera and take pictures, sorry.

Well my little guy has the same white scale and sometimes it seems to lift up right before he goes blue so I wouldnt worry about one lifted scale to much keep an eye on it and just make sure your humidity is correct

Any advice is allways helpful! Thank you
